A fabulous day at Chertsey Show!

Updated: Sep 11, 2018

One of my dear friends/dog training students asked if I would run her lovely Cockerpoo, Banjo, in his first ever agility competition at the Chertsey Show in Surrey. I love Banjo, and I often trained and ran him in agility whilst I was still teaching in Surrey (until my gallbladder surgery). We knew his weaves still needed more work, but other than that we were absolutely thrilled to bits with him! Such a focused lad who loves to train and work!

Banjo's owner Steph had accidentally entered him into the "Novice" category instead of "Beginners", so he was competing against dogs who were already Kennel Club grades 3, 4 and 5! We gained a clear round in the Novice Jumping, which resulted in a 3rd place (all medium, small and toy results were combined), we had an unlucky pole down in the Steeplechase and the Agility was absolutely perfect other than his weaves! Check out the video:

I also enjoyed meeting up with all of my friends/students and my dogs were absolutely thrilled to see their pals again!

Indie holding Banjo's rosette for him!
