Lucy is a passionate, encouraging, friendly and approachable dog training instructor who has been training dogs for the past 12 years.  She enjoys all aspects of dog training from helping dog owners to have and enjoy a well mannered family pet, to helping people into competitive dog sports.

Lucy always places a high emphasis on FUN and a sense of community within her training groups.

Lucy is proud to be a fully assessed and accepted member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT 01143) and uses only kind, fair and effective dog training methods.

Lucy and her dogs have made regular appearances on television, radio, newspapers and magazines.  Lucy and her Border Collie Indie won the ITV show That Dog Can Dance, appeared on the Alan Titchmarsh Show and received 4 yes votes from the judges on Britain's Got Talent 2015.  Lucy and her tiny crossbreed Trip Hazard made it all the way to the final of Britain's Got Talent 2016 and have appeared on This Morning and CBBCs How to be Epic at Everything.  Lucy's dogs have also worked in theatre, appearing in Beauty and the Beast pantomime in Grantham 2015/16 and Trip and Lucy took starring roles in Cinderella at the Liverpool Echo Arena 2016 with X Factor and Dancing on Ice star Ray Quinn.  Lucy's dogs have regularly appeared in advertising on television, online and in print.

Lucy's main sport is Heelwork to Music, where she is consistently one of the top handlers in the UK, appearing in the Crufts Finals 6 times between her Border Collie Indie and tiny crossbreed Trip Hazard (who took 4th place in the Crufts Freestyle Final 2018 and was the only "non collie" to compete).  Lucy has 3 dogs currently competing at Advanced level.  Lucy was also selected by the Kennel Club for Heelwork to Music Team GB 2017 (who won Gold in both the Heelwork to Music and Freestyle team events) with Indie, and has been selected again for Team GB 2018 with Indie, Trip and Foxy.  They will be competing at the Open European Championships in Switzerland.

Lucy also enjoys and competes in Agility, but not very often.  Shetland Sheepdog Ash made it to Grade 5 before he retired and Lucy is now enjoying training and competing with Foxy and Trip.

Lucy performs with her dogs at events all over the country and there are often opportunities for her training groups to get involved with their own dogs.
